American Foundations — Session II: Religious Liberty and the Founding

This session continues the American Foundations course with a focus on religious liberty at the time of the Founding and its treatment under modern constitutional law. Taught by Denise Harle, Director of FSU Law’s First Amendment Clinic, the class examines how early American ideas about conscience and religious freedom shaped the Constitution and how those principles are interpreted today.

This session continues a three-week course meeting on Mondays from March 23 through April 6.
