American Foundations — Session III: Federalism and the Constitution

The final session of the American Foundations course examines federalism and its role within the American constitutional system. Taught by Professor Phillip Pinell, this class explores the meaning of federalism, its origins in the Founding era, and how it has evolved over time. Participants will consider how the division of power between national and state governments continues to shape American governance.
This session is part of a three-week course meeting on Mondays from March 23 through April 6.
